What a correction needs

Reports should identify the page, exact passage, proposed correction, supporting source and any relationship to an image right.

• Page URL and heading
• Exact disputed passage
• Primary or reliable supporting source
• Relationship to the rightsholder when relevant

Priority reports

Privacy, image rights, safety errors, impersonation, ended listings and deceptive links receive priority. Differences in interpretation can be retained as counterevidence while fact and interpretation remain separate.

After a correction

The date, change and reason remain in the correction log. Superseded material that would violate rights or privacy is not republished.
